This straight gas standpipe adaptor is designed for use at the rear connection of compatible gas cookers and other gas appliances. It provides a practical connection between a 1/2" BSP male appliance inlet and standard 15mm gas pipework or fittings.

The adaptor features a 1/2" female BSP threaded connection at one end and a 15mm male standpipe / straight tube end at the other.

The 15mm male standpipe end is particularly useful because it can be connected into a suitable 15mm compression fitting. This allows the installer to connect the adaptor directly to items such as a 15mm lever shut-off valve, compression coupling, elbow or copper pipework, depending on the installation requirements.

Typical Gas Cooker Application

This fitting is commonly used at the back of a gas cooker where the appliance has a compatible 1/2" BSP male inlet.

The 1/2" female BSP side screws onto the appliance connection, while the 15mm male standpipe end provides a standard 15mm tube connection that can then be incorporated into the gas pipework using the appropriate compression fitting.
