Rangemaster Conversion Kits

Rangemaster Conversion Kits

Rangemaster which is owned by the AGA Group who also own Falcon and Mercury are one of the largest manufacturers of range cookers, in the UK they are badged Rangemaster and in the rest of Europe they are badged Falcon, in the USA they are badged AGA now

There are two main categories for their conversion kits, dual fuel which is a cooker with gas burners on the top and electric ovens and grill below, or an all gas range which is gas burners on top and gas grill and oven, although on their 90cm and 100cm their tall side oven is still electric.

Dual Fuel Conversion Kits

Up until 2020 if you purchased an A061285 the chances that this kit would have converted your cooker was 90%, some kits such as the A027772 consist of the same jets included in the A061285, older models would require the A027639 and A037564, we are contacted quite a lot for even older models, their serial numbers beginning with 5 or 6 and the badge on their cooker being ‘Leisure Rangemaster’, if your cooker is one of these older models unfortunately the kits are discontinued and obsolete as they do not use metric injectors, they are older imperial injectors.

So the biggest selling kit is the A061285, in October 2020, Rangemaster decided to change the wok burner injector layout, so their cookers manufactured prior to this date required 2 injectors, 1 x 53 for the internal injector and 1 x 82 for the external injector, the cookers produced after this date only require 1 injector, that being a 1.03 or part number P068292, obviously for the next 6-12 months there are Rangemaster cookers needing both the old kit A061285 and the new kit A071681, so to cover this Rangemaster produced a kit covering both wok layouts, this kit is the A072111, we would advise choosing this kit if you are in any doubt.

All Gas Conversion Kits

So again up until 2020 the main all gas conversion kit covering most models is the A064524, the only issue can be with older cookers with serial numbers beginning with 5, 6 or 7 the only way you can confirm 100% if these are convertible is by contacting Rangemaster UK direct and quote them your full serial number.  https://www.rangemaster.co.uk/contact-support/service-spares

The main issue with these older cookers is the gas grill injector. Cookers made after October 2020 are covered by the A071725 kit, this includes the P068292 injector which is used on the new single injector wok burner.

Natural Gas Conversion Kit from LPG

If originally you converted your cooker to LPG and now have a natural gas supply and require to convert your cooker back to this setting, we sell a conversion kit which covers the majority of cookers made until 2020, this is ONLY for dual fuel cookers, there is no all gas version available.

One way of working out which injectors you require is reverse calculation, this is when you check the natural gas injector orifice sizes and then compare to the LPG kits contents, see below examples

Rangemaster Injectors

Rangemaster injectors are slightly different to other manufacturers injectors, some are slightly higher, others have indentures to the top of the nozzle where the hole is bored into but all have a wider internal wall, see pictures above.

The reason we have put this into this blog is that we have customers who purchase say a standard M6 x 0.75 injector for example a 0.87 for their Rangemaster, this universal jet will thread in 100% but the original Rangemaster nozzle is taller, our motto is as always, if in doubt check it out i.e email us at lpgjets@gmail.com  ………………………………… we are here to help!
